Planter in CCHS yard You’ve heard the phrase: “Oh, that has such a rich history!” If you have been poking around this web site, you know that Cortland does have a rich history. But we aren’t rich. The Cortland County Historical Society depends on the generosity of its members and friends to help fund its programs and collections. It takes a lot of resources to purchase acid-free boxes to keep our fragile records and and artifacts. You know how hard it is to control the climate in Cortland. Well, it takes money to provide a climate-controlled environment for hundred-year-old paintings, maps, and one-of-a-kind diaries and family letters. We rely on friends like you. We hope you’ll be able to donate your time, talents, and financial resources to help protect and safeguard Cortland’s treasures. Only through your friendship can we preserve Cortland’s rich history.
